Nuclear binding energy in holographic QCD

چکیده
Saturation of the nuclear binding energy is one most important properties atomic nuclei. We derive saturation in holographic QCD, by building a shell-model-like mean-field potential from density profile obtained multibaryon effective theory. The numerically estimated close to experimental value.

Holographic Nuclear Matter in AdS/QCD
We study the physics with finite nuclear density in the framework of AdS/QCD with holographic baryon field included. Based on a mean field type approach, we introduce the nucleon density as a bi-fermion condensate of the lowest mode of the baryon field and calculate the density dependence of the chiral condensate, the nucleon mass and the ρ-meson-nucleon coupling. We observe that the chiral con...
متن کاملLow Energy Hadron Physics in Holographic QCD
We present a holographic dual of four-dimensional, large Nc QCD with massless flavors. This model is constructed by placing Nf probe D8-branes into a D4 background, where supersymmetry is completely broken. The chiral symmetry breaking in QCD is manifested as a smooth interpolation of D8-D8 pairs in the supergravity background. The meson spectrum is examined by analyzing a five-dimensional Yang...
متن کاملGlueball Decay in Holographic QCD
Using holographic QCD based on D4-branes and D8-anti-D8-branes, we have computed couplings of glueballs to light mesons. We describe glueball decay by explicitly calculating its decay widths and branching ratios. Interestingly, while glueballs remain less well understood both theoretically and experimentally, our results are found to be consistent with the experimental data for the scalar glueb...
متن کاملWeak Interaction in Holographic QCD
We present a recent proposal of a simple prescription for including low-energy weak-interactions into the framework of holographic QCD, based on the standard AdS/CFT dictionary of doubletrace deformations. This opens a new perspective on phenomenological applications of holographic QCD: calculating weak observables in the strongly coupled regime of QCD. The idea is general enough to be implemen...
متن کاملHolographic Descriptions of Qcd
The AdS/CFT correspondence has long been used as a tool for understanding non-perturbative phenomena in gauge theories because it is an example of a 'strong-weak' duality: when one side of the duality is weakly coupled, the other is strongly coupled and vice-versa. Hence strongly coupled phenomena can be studied by looking at the weakly coupled side of the duality. In its original form the corr...
